Marc Marquez Ready For MOTOGP Championship

Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez is ready to take on the MOTOGP Championship. Competitors will race on January 30th, 2017 in what is one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year. Marquez placed second in the Valencia Grand Prix in November and 11th in the Malaysia Grand Prix in October.

Marquez has raced for Honda’s factory team since 2013. With three years of experience under his belt, he will give other experienced racers such as Maverick Vinales and Jorge Lorenzo a run for their money. He has already joined the ranks of only four riders in history who have won titles in three different competitions. The others are Valentino Rossi, Mike Hailwood and Phil Read.

The Spanish Grand Prix racer is just 23 but is already making a name for himself in competition. When he joined the Honda team, he immediately went on to win the MOTOGP championship and followed that up with a win the year after that as well. He is the youngest rider to ever win the event. Crashes in 2015 prevented him from taking the title but fans look forward to an exciting competition in Valencia in 2017.

Odds for Marc Marquez winning the championship are high. A leading online casino has odds of 13/8 for the title to go to this seasoned rider. The Honda team faced immense pressure in 2016 but Marquez still managed to take back the MOTOGP title that year from Lorenzo. As a brand, Honda has a lot to do to ensure that the team has the best equipment possible when they hit the asphalt.

Clutch problems prevented Marquez from beating Lorenzo in the Valencia Grand Prix. He had other problems caused by the front tire, which was hard and along with his braking, caused him to limit his speed. Marquez is nothing if not determined and open to possibilities. His patience served him well and he beat Rossi and Vinales, the latter with an aggressive move as he raced around Turn 3.

Consistency played a big part in Marquez’s success during 2016. He kept on wining as he stuck to his game plan, performing well all over the world against competitors like Rossi. Honda was taking no chances. The top brand made sure that they collected information on bike settings and tires during test runs.

New unified software is being used for the Honda team and this should have a significant impact on their performance in the MOTOGP. Balance in the setup used for the bikes should helped to increase safety. Fans can also expect good times from the racers as they are supported by leading engineers, who merge the best electronics and hardware.

Marquez enjoys the fact that he is one of only a few riders to win three different MOTO titles. He insists that he will not change his strategy and will continue to work hard to achieve another win. Instead of thinking too much about the pressure his team is under to maintain their winning record, he wants to focus on keeping his performance steady. His practice sessions look great so far, with the veteran rider producing good times.
